This is a gorgeous Persian Sarouk rug from the mid 20th century, handwoven in the Saruk region of central Iran. The rug features a floral design with a central medallion and four corner spandrels, all in elegant shades of red, blue, and ivory.  The wool is soft and shiny, and the pile is medium-high.
