The Bachmann Siemens ALC-42 Charger Amtrak #300 (Phase VI 2021) brings modern Amtrak power to your HO-scale layout with exceptional realism and performance. Based on the real ALC-42 long-distance locomotives that entered service in 2022, this model features the sleek blue, silver, red, and black Phase VI paint scheme and the distinctive Charger nose design seen on trains across the country.

Developed in collaboration with Siemens Mobility using original design documentation, this DCC sound-equipped model includes TCS WOWSound® technology with true CD-quality audio and prototype field recordings. A Keep-Alive device ensures smooth operation even on less-than-perfect track, while the voice-guided Audio Assist® tool makes programming simple.

The model features a precision motor, die-cast frame, directional lighting with Rule 17 dimming, and fully detailed bodywork including metal handrails, clear windows, and a detailed cab interior. Equipped with magnetically operated E-Z Mate Mark II couplers, it performs best on 22” radius curves or larger.
