Cottage Quilting Ltd.
Turn a favourite border print into a striking hexagon with the Triangle Frenzy Hexagon pattern. Repeating stripes and motifs become the focus of your design, with options to use all four border stripes, portions of two or three stripes, or one long strip. The finished project measures approximately 50" x 60", with the final size determined by the width of the strips you cut.
Key Features:
-
Border-Print Design — Make the most of quilting cotton border prints with repeating stripes and decorative elements.
-
Finished Size — Approximately 50" x 60". Narrower strips require less fabric and produce a smaller hexagon.
-
Flexible Layout — Use all four stripes, portions of two or three stripes, or one continuous strip to explore different arrangements.
-
Recommended Ruler — A 60° triangle ruler is required; the Creative Grids 60 Degree Triangle 12.5" Quilt Ruler (CGRT12560) is recommended.
Fabric Requirements:
- Quilting cotton border print with four 11" repeats across the width of the fabric: 1-1/2 yards.
- Alternatively, one 11"-wide strip: 4-1/2 yards.
- Batting and backing: allow 4"–6" larger than the finished project.
- Straight-of-grain binding: 1/3 yard.
Typical border prints have four repeats of 9"–11"-wide sets of stripes and elements running along the length of the fabric. Fabric requirements above are listed in the pattern’s original yard measurements.
