Happy and sad stories
This is Manato from Nigeria. Last week, we had a very shocking incident. We found signs of someone trying to break into our workshop. It looked like someone had thrown a rock at the window... there were signs of someone trying to get in. I still can't forget the shock and surprise I felt when I saw the situation. It was only when a Nigerian staff member checked the workshop that he noticed something was wrong. No one had noticed until then, and it really brought home to me the seriousness of the situation. Fortunately, there was no major theft, but the psychological anxiety was undeniable. Security is always a challenge in Nigeria, and this incident has made us feel strongly that further measures, such as installing security cameras and nighttime patrols, are necessary. One of our major goals going forward will be to create an environment where all staff can work with peace of mind. However, it wasn't all bad news! We also had some happy events. One of our Nigerian staff members made the core of a catcher's mitt by himself for the first time ! Glove making involves many detailed steps, and making the core in particular requires high skill and concentration. They have been practicing many times, and with our support, they have gradually gained experience. As a result of their efforts, they were able to complete the core by themselves for the first time. This success must have given him great confidence. The look of pride on his face after he finished was very impressive. For us, this achievement was extremely satisfying. It is motivating for us to witness the moment when all our efforts take shape. And without a doubt, he has become the first Nigerian man to make the core of a catcher's glove! It is a great encouragement for us to be able to find such happy events in our daily work . I would like to continue growing together with our Nigerian staff and strive to give you all good news. Thank you for your continued support!

Baseball Promotion Activities – Visiting 10 Area Schools
This is Manato from Nigeria. Last Thursday, we visited schools in Area 10 as part of our baseball outreach activities. We practiced baseball with the kids and had a very fulfilling time, even though it was only a short time! This time, the theme was "improving physical strength," and the focus was on everything from warming up to basic movements. When I actually practiced with the children, I was surprised at how fast they were . It seemed to me that about 70% of the children who took part in the practice were very agile, and the barefoot children in particular showed amazing speed. It was very impressive to see them running around the field with ease even without shoes, and it made me realise just how athletic they are. As I made these new discoveries, I realized that an hour had passed in the blink of an eye. The children seemed to enjoy themselves, there were smiles all around during the practice, and I think they all had a very meaningful time. I hope to continue spreading the joy of baseball little by little!

The power outage is still...
This is Manato from Nigeria. The electricity has still not been restored since last Friday. This is really ... tough. At night, it's so hot I don't know how to sleep, and it's been difficult to get a good night's sleep. Just at the start of the new year, I am experiencing the reality of Nigeria firsthand. This power outage is the longest I have ever experienced , and we have no idea when it will be restored. There is very little information available, so all we can do is wait. I tried to use the generator, but unfortunately it was broken and didn't work... This really hit me hard. It really brought home to me how difficult it is to live without electricity. During a power outage, there are only a few things you can do, and your work efficiency drops. It is also difficult to charge your devices or get internet access, and every aspect of your daily life is affected. I just hope that I can return to my normal life soon.

Christmas Bonus in Nigeria – A Belated Gift
This is Manato from Nigeria. Apparently it is a common practice in Nigeria to give bonuses to staff at Christmas. I didn't know about this, and only found out when a staff member told me about it! Although it's a little late, I decided to prepare and distribute Indomie, rice, oil, salt, and seasonings as a "late Christmas bonus." These are things that are often used in local households, so I thought it would be practical... The staff all looked happy when they received their gifts, and they all went home satisfied. Since coming to Nigeria, I have had more opportunities to learn about these cultural differences. I am slowly getting used to the local customs, but I still feel like I have a lot to learn.

I have been away from this column for a long time, but the reason is the Canada Post strike. As a result, deliveries were not going smoothly, so we had to make arrangements for alternative deliveries, which was frustrating. 4512 Main St, Vancouver, BC V5V 3R5 I'd like to sign a contract with you and create a new Hello Mart that is just like me. In preparation for the opening, I am doing the interior work myself, so I am focusing a lot on that. Because time was allocated. Even now, he is still engrossed in the task of drilling holes in the wall, We are currently using our newly acquired hammer drill to carry out the work. I am currently working alone in preparation for the opening after February. If there is anyone out there who would like to help me out, I would be very grateful. I can't even pay you a reward though. Once the interior construction is complete and 10,000 products arrive, We will make an announcement again.
