Nonprofit organization founded by Serj Tankian of System Of A Down & Tom Morello of Audioslave/Rage Against The Machine in an effort to bring concerned musicians, fans of music & grassroots political organizations to fight social justice. Recorded at the Avalon in Los Angeles this year, guest performers include; Flea, Maynard James Keenan (Tool, A Perfect Circle), Jurassic 5 & Pete Yorn. Some of the all star jam songs include: U2's "Where The Streets Have No Name", Funkadelic's "Alice In My Fantasies" & Bob Dylan's "Chimes Of Freedom". Also included is a donated cover track of Chris Cornell (Audioslave/Soundgarden) & Maynard James Keenan performing "(What's So Funny About) Peace, Love, & Understanding" from last year's Lollapalooza. Bonus companion DVD contains live footage from the Palace show as well as some excerpts from pas Axis shows including appearance by artists like; Boots Riley of The Coup & Wayne Kramer (MC5).
