Premium Bandai has announced the release of the HG 1/144 Gundam Lfrith Pre-Production Model. This mobile suit, introduced in Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury PROLOGUE, has a complex history and plays an important role in the series’ backstory. This unit, piloted by characters Nadim Samaya and Wendy Olent during the Vanadis Incident, highlights the Gundam universe’s creative design and technical developments.
The Gundam Lfrith Pre-Production Model (XGF-01) demonstrates the Ochs Earth Corporation’s outstanding engineering and military might. As a forerunner to the mass-production Gundam Lfrith, this model has an impressive arsenal and capabilities, particularly its unique backpack unit outfitted with large launchers for the GUND-BITS, a series of remote weapons that improve combat flexibility and strategic options on the battlefield.
This model kit shares the same basic molds with its successor, the HG 1/144 Gundam Lfrith, but introduces newly molded parts that set it apart. The most striking of these is the Large Launcher backpack unit, which not only adds to its silhouette but also its firepower. Additionally, modifications to the head and the inclusion of new accessories give this pre-production model a distinct look and feel, making it a must-have for collectors and fans.
