VISIONstrip®

Product Description: VISIONstrip® is a precision-extruded glazing seal featuring an EPDM rubber extrusion at the sightline, combined with a highly adhesive, cross-linked butyl sealant below. This single-component profile ensures a positive-wet seal between metal and glass surfaces while providing a clean gasket appearance at the sightline.

Basic Uses: VISIONstrip® is ideal for compression glazing systems requiring high-performance glazing in curtain walls, unitized curtain walls, punched and ribbon window systems, and sloped glazing applications.

Face Clearance:

• 0.125” (3.18 mm) F.C. ± 0.010” (.25 mm)
• 0.187” (4.75 mm) F.C. ± 0.013” (.33 mm)
• 0.250” (6.35 mm) F.C. ± 0.016” (.41 mm)

Limitations:

• Not suitable for joints subjected to continuous water immersion or temperatures exceeding 200°F (93°C).
• A compatibility test is required when using sealants other than approved Tremco silicone sealants.
• Must be installed on a special metal nib, 0.050” x 0.060” (1.27 mm x 1.52 mm). A mock-up is recommended to verify acceptable mating between VISIONstrip® and the metal nib.
