TL;DR: Stella & Chewy's Grain Free Red Meat Raw Blend Kibble is a dry dog food that combines baked kibble with freeze-dried raw pieces in a red-meat recipe built on beef, chicken, and fish. It's made for adult dogs whose owners want grain-free feeding with a raw element in every bowl, without separate prep. Available in 3.5 lb and 10 lb bags.

Each bag contains two components in one: dry kibble for easy portioning, plus freeze-dried raw pieces mixed throughout. The recipe is grain free — no corn, wheat, or soy — and draws its protein from beef, chicken, and fish.

What makes this raw blend different from standard kibble?

Standard dry food is a single texture. This blend adds freeze-dried raw pieces alongside the kibble, so the bowl carries two textures and a red-meat flavour profile from beef, with chicken and fish rounding out the protein sources.

For owners researching the best dog food format for a busy household, the practical appeal is shelf stability: no thawing, no refrigeration, no measuring out a separate raw topper. You scoop once.

Specifications

Who is it for?

This recipe suits adult dogs whose owners prefer grain-free feeding and want raw nutrition built into a daily dry food rather than served separately. The red-meat profile is a fit for dogs who do well on beef-forward proteins.

Choose the 3.5 lb bag for a single small dog or to trial the recipe before committing; the 10 lb bag makes more sense for larger breeds and multi-dog homes. It is formulated for adult dogs, so puppies and dogs with specific dietary restrictions should be matched to a more appropriate life-stage formula.

Feeding & use

Feed as a complete daily meal, following the portion guide printed on the bag based on your dog's weight and activity level. Split the daily amount across two meals if that suits your dog's routine better than one.

When switching from another food, transition gradually over 7–10 days by mixing increasing amounts of the new recipe into the old — a steady changeover supports digestive comfort. Store the bag sealed in a cool, dry place and keep fresh water available at all times.

How does it compare to other Stella & Chewy's recipes?

If you're weighing up which recipe is the best food for dogs in your household, it helps to compare within the same line. Stella & Chewy's - Grain Free Free Range Raw Blend Kibble Dry Dog Food is the poultry-forward raw blend alternative, while Stella & Chewy's - Grain Free Beef Raw Coated Kibble Dry Dog Food narrows the recipe to a single beef protein.

For dogs that do better on poultry than red meat, Stella & Chewy's - Grain Free Chicken Raw Coated Kibble Dry Dog Food is the chicken-based option in a raw-coated format. Comparing protein source first — rather than price per pound — is usually the faster way to find the best dog food for an individual dog.
