Shiso-ume is made by mixing dried plums made from Kishu-produced Nanko-ume with seeds removed, and red perilla. It is a non-colored specification that does not use any coloring agent. It can be used in a wide range of ways, such as shiso plum chazuke, shiso plum cucumber, rice balls, hand-rolled sushi, and spaghetti.
