This beautiful Ardabil rug, roughly 5’ x 8’, is filled from edge to edge with the classic Mahi (Herati) pattern. The colours of the corner spandrels and the central medallion are carefully harmonized, so your eye moves naturally between them as the “fish” motifs flow continuously across the field, creating a lively yet controlled rhythm.

The basic shapes of the medallion and corners are very simple, but they sit in perfect harmony with the detailed all-over design. That balance between a busy pattern and calm, clear framing is what makes this Ardabil feel both distinctive and quietly elegant.
