Details: PATH OF COMPASSION is a collection of Karunesh tracks that were chosen for use with yoga and the healing arts. The music was culled from Real Music's catalog of Karunesh delights, featuring cuts from his handful of albums on the label. A popular artist amongst healing practitioners, Karunesh makes music that fuses Asian spirit with contemporary new age ambient music. Flutes dance among subtle rhythms, bittersweet synthesized backdrops, a touch of sitar and tambourine. The speed of the songs is always slow and relaxed, with a sublime, dreamy quality. Govi is on hand performing both guitar and sitar on many of the tracks, while Bikram, Avinash and Shruti add accompaniment on bansuri flute, Indian violin and wordless vocals respectively.
