Fe-Be's was known for its playful leather-clad version of Michelangelo's infamous sculpture, David. Fe-Be’s opened in 1966 and, after closing briefly in 1971, remained a vibrant part of the Folsom Street leather community until it closed under the weight of the AIDS pandemic in 1986.
