Hello everyone.
My name is Ani and I am a local staff member in Nigeria.
Finally, we managed to lace up our baseball gloves by ourselves🎉
It was more difficult than I thought.
Kevin had a hard time making sure the string was going the right way and going into the right hole.
Abraham had a hard time finding the little holes and remembering the order in which to put the strings in.
For me (Ani), the hardest part was tying the last string.
The strings had to be straight and even, which took a lot more time and effort than I expected.
Also, my hands hurt when I held the string tightly for long periods of time!
Still, I finished lacing all of my gloves.
It wasn't easy, but we're happy we made it .
Learning this skill was very challenging and each step made us improve .
At Mergerick Nigeria, students don't just make gloves, they also learn important skills like perseverance and hard work .
