Each saxophonist possesses an adventurous harmonic pallet and a love for freely inflected yet swinging rhythmic interplay, as illustrated by their work on \"The Wild East\" and Ornette Coleman's \"Broad Way Blues.\" Still, as their more reflective playing on \"Monk's Mood\" and Eric Dolphy's \"Serene\" illustrates, Lovano and Osby both possess a graceful lyric dimension.
