Sense of humor is not the strong point of many pop singers, and it's refreshing to find one performer who can laugh at himself a little. --\nPeople\n\n\nAmazon.ca\n\n\nPoltz spent more than a decade fronting goofball San Diego rockers The Rugburns before becoming an \"overnight sensation\" as the cowriter of Jewel's smash single \"You Were Meant for Me.\" On\nOne Left Shoe, he steps out in a similar singer-songwriterly direction, fashioning a collection of confessional folk pop tunes that are about evenly split between movingly memorable and blandly boring.
