Much of his career was spent as a studio musician, and his playing is on so many albums, movie soundtracks and television shows that few people have not heard him. Nevertheless, he has top notch jazz credentials. This album recorded for Mode in 1957 at Radio Recorders, engineered by Bones Howe, is one of the best early stereo recordings available.
